Whatever You Do, Take Care Of Your Shoes

Rolling On To Hartford

Well, we managed to go four shows with no repeats, and that’s pretty damn good.  We all had a feeling some repeats would show up sooner or later.  Even Phish need to play their staples.  Tonight’s show continued the excellent playing we’ve seen this tour.  Opening with “Punch You In The Eye,” many may have had a deja vu from last summer’s landmark show.  “Ocelot” followed, and was really jammed out nicely to keep everyone on their feet.  Other set highlights included the tour’s first “Esther,” “Walk Away,” and “Divided Sky.”

The band returned for round two with the 3.0 crowd pleasing “Party Time,” followed by a stellar “Down With Disease > Sand” power-punch that sure was funky as hell.  Just as he’s been doing all tour, Mike was dropping some serious bombs.  The set closed with a solid “Mike’s Groove” (but man, they really need to start jamming this out again…).  “Shine A Light” ended the evening, reaffirming that the Exile tunes may stick around for longer than we first thought.
